Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for chemistry and materials science? We're seeking a skilled Lab Technician to join our team at Hexcel's Duxford, UK site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory duties, including preparing and evaluating composite materials.
  • Formulate and mix resins and other chemicals, producing films and "prepreg" materials, curing laminates, and performing thermal analytical and mechanical tests.
  • Participate in research or new product development projects.
  • Plan technical aspects of work with guidance from supervisor and provide technical observations, interpretation of results, and execute experimental ideas.
  • Develop expertise and background understanding of technically relevant methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Education in a technical subject, preferably in chemistry, materials, or polymer science.
  • Practical laboratory experience, preferably in a chemical, polymer, or materials science environment.
  • Keen eye for detail and practically minded.
  • Able to demonstrate a proactive and methodical approach to work.
