Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Order Specialist to work closely with our sales organization in preparing and validating license and support deals for submission to Order Service Coordinators. You will serve as a single point of contact for field sales for UK and Ireland and NL and GOSI, operating independently and providing support to other team members when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide guidance and support to sales on quote preparation related to Commercial-, Legal-, and RevRec policies, order processing, and customer order issues.
  2. Provide Legal Level 1 support and generate contractual agreements.
  3. Order Processing – Review, validate, and process all orders with a focus on accuracy and completion for submission.
  4. Proactively communicate with Field Sales and/or managers on order issues and keep them informed of any problems resolving issues.
  5. Ensure all orders are submitted on a timely basis according to established order submission deadlines.
  6. Develop and maintain a detailed working knowledge of Revenue Recognition and Revenue Accounting policies concerning the licensing of software and support, SOX controls applicable to the Quote to Cash process, Order Entry (OE+) application, SFDC, and Siebel to support order management.
  7. Provide support and assist in the resolution and clarification of order information, invoicing, collections, and passwords.
  8. Develop in-depth knowledge of BMC's licensing model and pricing to provide quoting support to our EMEA Sales Team.
  9. Proactively act to understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries.
  10. Takes action to monitor and control costs within own work horizons.
  11. Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data; takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions.
  12. Shares own experience/knowledge with others; provides guidance and support to less experienced colleagues.
Requirements
  1. Must possess strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness with regard to all processes.
  2. Must have a proven ability to work collaboratively and courteously with others to obtain all required documentation necessary to perform and realize revenue on license sales.
  3. Must have the ability to work remotely and use escalation processes.
  4. Clear and grammatically correct verbal and written communication skills are required.
  5. Ideally knowledge and experience of Order Services back-office applications, with a good understanding of administrative processes.
  6. Knowledge and experience with license and/or software accounting, legal operations, and understanding of license revenue recognition requirements is highly desirable.
  7. Working knowledge of Oracle, SFDC, and financial operations processes.
  8. Working knowledge of Office suite Application.
  9. Intermediate-level experience with Business Objects is a plus.
  10. Working knowledge with Communication Tools such as Phone, messaging, Chat, Share applications.
  11. Ability to see, define, and resolve issues, with a balanced desire to tackle both tactical and root-cause issues is a plus.
  12. Ability to work on multi-transaction within a range of complexity.
  13. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  14. Ability to adapt informative style to an audience, capable of explaining difficult information clearly, establishes consensus and attains agreement.
  15. Create an informal network within team and other BMC departments.
