NHS Highland is seeking a Consultant Physician to join our team at Lorn and Islands Hospital. As a Consultant Physician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare to the local population, working closely with a small dedicated team in a hospital that serves the population of north Argyll.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality healthcare to patients, ensuring a great work-life balance
- Work with a small dedicated team to provide a consultant-led service, centered on high-quality healthcare
- Collaborate with onsite radiologists and lab services to ensure seamless patient care
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience
- Contribute to the development of the hospital's vision and goals
About the Hospital
Lorn and Islands Hospital is a purpose-built hospital located on the southern outskirts of Oban, serving as a hub for both acute and community services in the area. The hospital offers a range of facilities, including a full 24-hour medical, surgical, and anaesthetic service.
About the Role
This is a 10 Programmed Activities per week position, with the possibility of up to 2 additional PAs by negotiation. The role includes a lead position for the first three years, with a 8:2 DCC to SPA contract. Part-time applications will also be considered.
