Job Title: Educational Support Assistant

The Catch22 Include Norfolk school is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support the educational development of vulnerable students with challenging behaviors. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in our Primary school.

About the Role:
This position involves working as part of a dedicated team to deliver high-quality education to students who require additional support. The successful candidate will provide guidance, motivation, and encouragement to pupils, promoting their effective participation in social, behavioral, and academic processes within the school. Key responsibilities include engaging in interventions both in and out of lessons, utilizing behavior management techniques to diffuse issues, and collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver teaching activities. Knowledge of statutory requirements such as equal opportunities, health and safety, SEN, and safeguarding is essential. A good standard of education, experience in teaching children with EAL, SEN, or complex needs, and advanced behavior management skills are highly desirable.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you should possess Level 2 English and Maths qualifications, as well as knowledge of relevant statutory requirements. Experience of teaching children with diverse needs, ability to motivate and encourage children, and proficiency in behavior management strategies are also required. Advanced knowledge of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and collaboration with teachers to develop lesson plans would be advantageous. A permanent contract with term-time only hours (41 weeks) is available, with full-time working hours of 37 hours per week. An enhanced DBS check is mandatory for this role. Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
