Job Summary

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team at Ferrovial. As an Infrastructure Management Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing highway surfaces, signs, guardrails, and other infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair highway surfaces, including signs, guardrails, and other infrastructure assets, to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including tractors, graders, mowers, sweepers, and other machinery, to perform surface and right-of-way maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Transport crew and equipment to work sites, and assist in the maintenance of sweeping equipment to ensure continuous use.
  • Set up and remove traffic control devices, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Participate in emergency response rotations, and be available for overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, maintenance, or landscaping.
  • Valid CDL Class B driver's license, and Tanker Endorsement.
  • Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, WHMIS, and job-related aspects of Occupational Health.
Work Environment

This position requires a highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability. The employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, and will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to the job.

The employee will be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, and will be required to use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment.

The noise level in the work environment will be moderate, but may be more than moderate at times.
