About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the hospital grounds are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and welcoming environment for our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the grounds of the hospital are maintained to a high standard, undertaking grounds maintenance work including grass cutting, clearing leaves, and litter picking.
  • Ensure that all aspects of health and safety and operational policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Support the completion of PPM checks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Ensure the completion of all contractor paperwork and tool checks on access/egress of the site.
  • Complete individual tool checks in line with local procedures.
  • Escort contractors whilst on site and comply with security requirements.
  • Review daily work sheets and prioritize tasks accordingly and complete as directed.
  • Work as part of a team and work on own initiative.
  • Be willing to undertake hospital driving duties as required.
  • Be part of an on-call rota system for the purposes of emergency maintenance.
Requirements
  • Comply with system and procedures.
  • Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
