Business & Finance Administrator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business & Finance Administrator to join our team at Vanilla Recruitment (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in accounting and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and goods received notes to optimize inventory control.
  • Assist with monthly journals, recharges, and payroll journals to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure account balances match internal records.
  • Process monthly grant remittances to support educational programs.
  • Raise offer letters to new starters and issue contract changes as required.
  • Prepare end-of-year pension certificates for employees.
  • Maintain the fixed asset and utilities register to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Support inventory audit management and provide administrative assistance as needed.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in finance or administration.
  • Familiarity with the educational system is desirable.
  • AAT studies or equivalent certification is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in accountancy software, particularly PSF Financials, and strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, are advantageous.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
  • Numeracy and attention to detail are crucial for this role.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to contribute to the company's growth and success.
