Management Accountant

Hours of Work: Full Time
The role requires providing accounting support within the Finance team to ensure key financial close and day-to-day activities are completed in a robust and timely manner. This role is a key position in the business, responsible for providing insight into business performance for allocated areas, with a strong focus on fixed assets. The role reports directly to the Senior Management Accountant.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing monthly P&Ls for the business.
- Own and manage the fixed asset process.
- Ensure accounting on fixed assets is accurate and work with stakeholders to ensure they follow the approval process in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the management accounts team to improve processes and gain efficiencies.
- Work with the management accounts team to ensure P&L information is collated and reviewed in a timely manner.
- Offer guidance and support to improve working practices and strengthen data quality.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
- Work alongside the Accounts Payable team to ensure correct coding at source.
- Be responsible for processing and reconciling company credit cards.
- Assist with daily banking and month-end bank reconciliations.
- Assist the revenue accountant with accounts receivable.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks to ensure monthly P&Ls are accurate.
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience with fixed assets (practice or industry).
- High attention to detail.
- Highly driven and self-motivated.
- Used to working in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An effective communicator.
- Confident and organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Good Microsoft knowledge, especially Excel.
