Housing Officer Job Description

Nexus Housing Ltd is a dynamic and professional organization in Birmingham, committed to providing exceptional housing services. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Housing Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the day-to-day management of supported accommodation properties, ensuring high standards of maintenance and upkeep.
  • Conduct regular property visits, documenting any issues or repairs needed, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance repairs and inspections, ensuring timely completion and compliance with regulations.
  • Handle tenant inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections, documenting any damages or repairs needed, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in housing management or a related field, preferably in supported housing or other housing needs organizations.
  • Flexible approach and ability to think on your feet, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Full clean driving license and use of your own car, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Some knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding supported housing, with a commitment to compliance.
