As a Specialist Radiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality radiology services to patients across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. Your primary purpose will be to deliver these services in a way that meets the clinical needs of patients and the diagnostic and/or interventional requirements of referring clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist radiology services across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
- Deliver services in a way that meets the clinical needs of patients and the diagnostic and/or interventional requirements of referring clinicians.
- Actively promote and participate in educational forums and instruct, supervise, and support radiology JMOs and other clinicians to ensure service provisions are safe, accurate, appropriate, and timely.
- Maintain and further develop the knowledge base, clinical competencies, practical procedure skills, research basics, and self-education habits required of a specialist radiologist.
- Participate in the on-call consultant roster.
- Actively participate in quality improvement processes, including quality requesting, image quality assessment, and feedback, and personal effectiveness and development activities.
Selection Criteria:
- Specialist registration or eligible for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Radiology and eligible to hold an appropriate NSW radiation license from NSW Environmental Protection Agency.
