About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologist Specialist to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Radiologist Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the department provides the local population with a high-quality and accessible breast service, and achieves the national cancer wait targets for breast patients.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for dividing their time between the breast service (80%) and the general imaging department (20%). The job plan will be made up of clinics (6 PAs), reporting (2 PAs), MDT (1 PA) and one SPA will be allocated for continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • On GMC register with a Licence to Practice
  • On GMC's Specialist Register
  • Appropriate Royal College membership (FRCR or equivalent)
  • General radiology skills. Ability to report general body CT, plain films and general ultrasound.
  • Formal subspecialty training in Breast imaging
  • Ability to interpret mammograms and perform breast ultrasound, stereotactic and ultrasound guided biopsy, ultrasound guided and stereotactic vacuum assisted biopsy and vacuum excision, image guided pre-operative wire insertion/coil insertion/magseed
  • Breast MRI interpretation
  • IT Skills and computer literacy
