Job Title: Post-Contract Manager

Network Rail is seeking an experienced Post-Contract Manager to join our team. The Post-Contract Manager will be responsible for managing post-contract activities, including commercial management of medium value/medium risk activity and supporting pre-contract activity within the project delivery team's scope of work. This includes providing specialist commercial advice, guidance, and recommendations to mitigate commercial risks. You will also be responsible for managing cost reporting, monitoring commercial aspects of allocated projects, and reviewing contractor delivery. Additionally, you will manage assessment and valuation of contractor's applications, process payment certification, and provide pro-active advice and guidance to Project Managers on all change.

About the Role:

The Post-Contract Manager will work closely with the project delivery team to ensure that post-contract activities are managed effectively. This includes providing specialist commercial advice, guidance, and recommendations to mitigate commercial risks. You will also be responsible for managing cost reporting, monitoring commercial aspects of allocated projects, and reviewing contractor delivery. Additionally, you will manage assessment and valuation of contractor's applications, process payment certification, and provide pro-active advice and guidance to Project Managers on all change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the programme and project teams in monitoring for breaches of compliance with Network Rail Corporate governance and rules
  • Manage cost reporting of all allocated projects within the Network Rail reporting framework
  • Monitor, manage, and report on all commercial aspects of allocated projects
  • Review contractor delivery and lead valuation of medium value/medium risk contracts
  • Manage assessment and valuation of contractor's applications and process payment certification


Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in commercially managing investment projects
  • Good understanding of railway and construction industry forms of contract
  • Good negotiation skills
