Part Time Chef / Cook - Kinmylies Care Home

Our Meallmore team at Kinmylies are seeking a Second Chef to join their care home. Surrounded by dramatic views of the mountains and canal, Kinmylies Lodge Care Home provides a supportive and homely environment that builds residents' confidence to live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef to plan, prepare, and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure Food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless food service and resident satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and introduce innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience.
  • Adhere to food budget guidelines and assist in minimising waste.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements and food allergies is desirable.
  • Strong culinary skills and creativity to prepare appetizing meals.
  • Proficiency in food safety practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable.
