Health and Safety Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join our team at Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group. As a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on health and safety matters to line management and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Conduct health and safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for remedial action.
- Develop and implement safe systems of work and risk assessments to ensure the safety of employees and the public.
- Support the Safety, Security, Health, Environment, Quality and Radiation (SSHEQR) Director in ensuring that new legislation and revised business instructions are integrated into health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Level 3 accredited Health and Safety Qualification or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation.
- Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice causal analysis tools.
