Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Manager to lead our team of engineers and drive the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of skilled Civil Engineers, providing guidance and development support to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.
  2. Act as Contractor Responsible Engineer (CRE) across a range of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  3. Lead and coordinate civil engineering projects from inception to completion, overseeing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  4. Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, promoting open communication and teamwork.
  5. Support junior engineers with professional development, providing mentorship and guidance to help them grow in their careers.
  6. Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and ensure client satisfaction, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, applying knowledge to drive continuous improvement and enhance project delivery.
  8. Contribute to the long-term development of the InoRail business, working closely with the Senior Leadership team to drive strategic growth and success.

Requirements:

  1. Demonstratable experience in a senior Civil Engineering role, acting as CRE or PE, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
  2. Ideal candidate will be Chartered (CEng/IEng) with the Institution of Civil Engineers or similar, with strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Experience in team leadership or an aspiration to develop in line management, with a strong desire to support the development of staff.
  4. Proven track record in Civil Engineering and Project Management, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  5. Ability to work successfully with clients, with knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
  6. Ability to identify and input to activities in support of the wider business objectives, drawing upon skills in addition to those outlined above.
