Senior/Principal Civil Engineer

Conrad Consulting Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. As a key member of our Civil Engineering team, you will lead the design development process and primarily design highways and drainage systems, collaborate with clients, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications for development infrastructure
  • Design highways and drainage networks using AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and other digital design tools
  • Produce Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
  • Manage S278/38 highway agreements and S106 drainage adoption processes
  • Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Mentor junior staff and progress your career with our tailored training and support
Requirements:
  • BEng (or related) - minimum requirement
  • Minimum 4 years' engineering design experience
  • Proficiency in digital design tools like AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, Civils 3D, and Causeway Flow
  • Strong understanding of UK standards and regulations with ability to prepare highways and drainage designs to local and national standard with S278/28 /S106 agreements
  • Great problem-solving, communication, and team skills with experience
