Job Title: Art Installation Technician

We are seeking an experienced Art Installation Technician to join our team at Halcyon Gallery in Central London. As an Art Installation Technician, you will be responsible for hanging artwork using various installation methods, handling artwork with care, and performing other tasks related to art installation and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hanging artwork using a variety of installation methods on various wall compositions
  • Handling all artwork and installations carefully and with due consideration
  • Packing and unpacking artwork for onward shipping, including crates
  • Stock management
  • Administration of artwork using our database (training provided)
  • Logging and reporting any damaged pieces whether damaged in the gallery or before arrival
  • Delivering art to customer sites
  • Gallery appearance and daily maintenance/re-hanging as needed
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in handling, hanging, and installing artwork
  • A-level standard of education or equivalent
  • Ability to work within the UK and travel internationally for installations
  • Driving license beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of and qualifications in using forklift trucks, WAV machines, and other warehouse machinery useful
