Job Summary:
">Leeds Teaching Hospitals is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and services. As a Lead Matron for Outpatient Services, you will play a critical role in achieving this goal. Your primary responsibilities will include managing nursing and phlebotomy staff, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based, safe, and effective nursing care, infection prevention, and safeguarding standards.
">You will work closely with the Head of Nursing to develop and implement improvements within the department, particularly in areas such as phlebotomy service and Community Diagnostics. A key part of your role will involve supporting the implementation of a Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) and being a focal point for advice to patients and carers, as well as local resolution of complaints.
">In addition to site-specific patches, this role may also have specific Trustwide elements, including leading cancer nurse initiatives. You will be expected to have at least 2 years of senior-level experience in nursing, understanding of specialty (desirable), experience managing and leading staff, budgetary management experience, service development/change management, and registration as a Registered Nurse (Level 1) or Registered Midwife (as appropriate).
