About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Patient Care Specialist to join our team at the NHS. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of patients.

Job Summary: As a Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients under the supervision of the Practice Nurse Lead. Your tasks will include undertaking and recording physiological measurements, performing new patient health checks, and providing chaperone services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake and record tasks following appropriate training
  • Measure and record physiological measurements: Blood pressure, Pulse rate and rhythm, Temperature, Height and weight, Body Mass Index, Visual acuity, Venepuncture, ECG, Basic dressings
  • New Patient Health checks, long-term conditions, providing chaperone services
  • Order and maintain stock levels and control
  • Prepare and maintain environments during and after patient care interventions
  • Assist in raising awareness of health and well-being
  • Give accurate information to patients and groups
  • Record patient information and activities in a timely fashion
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow confidentiality requirements

What We Offer: A competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
