Scientific Software Engineer Position for Government Contract

Company Overview: Bangura Solutions is a renowned government contractor seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientific Software Engineer to join their Exeter-based team.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum (dependent on experience), with additional benefits including 9 months of employment and hybrid work arrangements.
Job Description:
Role Responsibilities
- To design, implement, test, and document new software changes that enable the successful exploitation of next generation supercomputers to meet Programme and Project benefits.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A strong background in Fortran or C, C++ (Fortran being more favourable).
- Demonstrated competence in Python, Linux, and version control systems such as github or svn.
- Experience of working within a defined quality-focused development cycle.
- A proven track record of developing large scientific applications.
