Job Title: Building Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join our property services team at Together Housing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough asset surveys to assess the condition and suitability of our properties. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance and improvement of our housing stock, as well as contributing to our future planning and investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive surveys of our properties to identify defects and recommend necessary repairs or improvements.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to ensure accurate and timely maintenance and improvement programs.
  • Develop and implement effective planned maintenance and improvement programs to optimize funding allocation.
  • Provide support and assistance to team members in areas such as program surveys, data analysis, and work specification.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including the Decent Homes Standard and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and access to a car.
  • Experience in a construction-related environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of building practice and policy, including the Decent Homes Standard and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
