At USP College, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons, supporting students to achieve their academic goals. As part of our Maths curriculum team, you will inspire and motivate students, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Lesson Planning



  • Develop and deliver creative and engaging Maths lessons, tailored to meet the needs of students
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with college policies and curriculum area schemes of work
  • Set and mark student work, providing constructive feedback and guidance

Student Support and Progress



  • Record and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for support
  • Provide guidance and advice to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals
  • Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum area, sharing best practices and expertise

Collaboration and Communication



  • Work effectively with colleagues, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance student learning
  • Attend and participate in parents' consultation evenings, interview evenings, and other college events
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues, using appropriate language and tone

Professional Development



  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in Maths education
  • Participate in training and mentoring opportunities, developing skills and expertise in teaching and learning
  • Contribute to the development of college policies and procedures, ensuring they are effective and inclusive

College Community



  • Contribute to the positive and inclusive culture of the college, promoting diversity and respect for all
  • Support and participate in college events, promoting the college's values and mission
  • Represent the college at external events and activities, promoting the college's reputation and values
