About the Role

We're on the hunt for a highly skilled and driven Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for leading and supporting our chefs to deliver exceptional food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and ensure the kitchen runs effectively and safely
  • Manage stocks, Health & Safety, and Hygiene to maintain 5* kitchen standards
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff
  • Recruit and manage kitchen teams, including Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, and Junior Sous Chefs
  • Collaborate with Ops Chefs and Ops Managers to achieve business objectives

Requirements
  • Existing Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager looking to take the next step
  • Experience working with fresh ingredients and good chef/kitchen skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to lead from the front
  • Driven and relentless in delivering excellent kitchen and food standards
  • Familiar with KPIs and making decisions in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Epic communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of best practice around rota scheduling, sales, and labour forecasts
