Key Duties

  • Monitoring day lists and appointment diaries, updating as necessary.
  • Preparing the surgery for use at the beginning of the session and clearing up at the end.
  • Arranging for the timely supply of materials and laboratory work.

  • Maintaining handpieces, aspirators, and other equipment.
  • Utilizing keyboard skills for data entry on dental software programs.
  • Providing oral health and diet advice in line with evidence-based national guidelines.
  • Assisting the dental operator in the provision of dental treatment and supervising patients until they are fit to leave the dental service.
Professionalism, Leadership, and Management

You will be responsible for promoting the organization's values and high-performance standards, both individually and as a team, in achieving our strategic objectives and priorities.

  • Acting within the General Dental Council's (GDC) ethical guidance and standards commensurate to that of a dental professional.
  • Building a strong external image of clinical excellence for the organization and creating opportunities to enhance the profile of the social enterprise and its services, ensuring high social responsibility.
  • Acting within other professional laws and systems, including Health and Safety, Freedom of Information Act, and Data Protection Legislation.
  • Observing all policies and procedures and maintaining the Staff Confidentiality Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Following and implementing clinical policies and procedures to comply with legislation.
