Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely billing of patient accounts after discharge or as outpatients.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental processes and policies.
  • Verify NHS and insurance company agreements for accuracy.
  • Generate invoices for patients, consultants, and insurance companies in line with their agreements.
  • Handle patient, insurer, and consultant enquiries over the telephone.
  • Maintain department security.
  • Provide a professional and helpful approach to all customers and colleagues.
  • Complete mandatory training as required.
  • Liaise with Credit Control for query management.
  • Assist with regular KPI reporting for BBS.
  • Support the review of finance processes to improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and group obligations.
  • Deliver timely and accurate data for management information reports, identifying trends and exceptions.
