About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site plant, equipment, operations, and personnel, ensuring smooth and productive operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and resource for long-term and short-term site objectives
  • Execute quarry and waste management plans
  • Deliver a safe and controlled plan delivery according to agreed/legislated plan and methodology, within agreed timescales
  • Manage plant defect reporting, minimising plant downtime
  • Complete all site administration, including weekly costing information, purchase order submission, payroll, productivity reporting, and compliance checklists
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines are met and administration completed in accordance with company or external requirements
  • Manage all aspects of site compliance, including environmental compliance
  • Responsible for site safety and security
  • Hold regular team meetings and facilitate team training
  • Provide comprehensive and timely handovers to the covering Manager
Requirements
  • Experience of working with regulatory permits, health & safety guidelines, and site operating plans
  • Experience in landfill, quarrying, and/or civil engineering
  • Leads by example, presenting a positive and professional image
  • Understands and plays to own strengths with confidence
  • Self-motivated, takes personal responsibility for making things happen
  • Able to manage conflict and maintain collaborative team-working
