About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site plant, equipment, operations, and personnel, ensuring smooth and productive operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and resource for long-term and short-term site objectives, ensuring efficient use of plant and equipment.
  • Execute quarry and waste management plans, adhering to regulatory permits and health & safety guidelines.
  • Deliver safe and controlled plan delivery, within agreed timescales, and manage plant defect reporting to minimize downtime.
  • Manage site administration, including weekly costing information, purchase order submission, payroll, productivity reporting, and compliance checklists.
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines are met, and administration is completed in accordance with company or external requirements.
  • Manage HR-related tasks, including holidays, absenteeism, recruitment, reviews, performance management, training, and briefings.
  • Maintain site housekeeping standards and infrastructure, and manage all aspects of site compliance, including environmental compliance.
  • Responsible for site safety and security, ensuring all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality processes are carried out.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with regulatory permits, health & safety guidelines, and site operating plans.
  • Experience in landfill, quarrying, and/or civil engineering.
  • Leadership skills, presenting a positive and professional image, and understanding and playing to own strengths.
  • Self-motivated, taking personal responsibility for making things happen, and welcoming feedback and eager to learn and develop own skills, knowledge, and behavior.
  • Able to manage conflict and maintain collaborative team-working.
