About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Communications Manager to join our team at NHS Charities Together, a leading charity representing the NHS charity sector in the UK. As a key member of our External Affairs and Communications Directorate, you will play a critical role in shaping our communications strategy and influencing stakeholders across the sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to achieve specific objectives, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Lead and implement stakeholder management and influencing strategies, leveraging your expertise to drive results and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver internal and external communications strategies to achieve specific objectives, utilizing your creative thinking and problem-solving skills to drive engagement and impact.
  • Collaborate with the Programmes and Partnerships department to bring to life the work we do to improve patient outcomes, support workforce wellbeing, and help communities live well.
  • Support the Assistant Director of External Affairs and Communications in coordinating and planning large-scale communications activities, taking a bird's-eye view of the organization and working with key internal stakeholders to design integrated ways of working.

About You

We are looking for a self-starter, strategic planner, and creative thinker who can help build integration into communications planning and deliver smart communications activity that demonstrates our impact in the NHS. You will have:

Experience leading and implementing stakeholder management and influencing strategies with demonstrable results, ideally in a membership organization.Experience working in a politically sensitive environment at a senior level and dealing with senior stakeholders in various organizations, including central Government.Experience delivering internal and external communications strategies to achieve specific objectives.Experience or an understanding of the voluntary sector.Experience developing and delivering integrated influencing campaigns, working with multiple partners and stakeholders.Experience with co-production, collaboration, and partnership working.
