Main Responsibilities

  • To safely and efficiently transport materials and equipment required for the business
  • Perform deliveries and collections to and from customer sites, and other locations as required
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times to customers, the general public, and other road users
  • Ensure that equipment is loaded and unloaded in a safe manner
  • Verify that the total payload does not exceed the vehicle's weight limit
  • Use approved methods to secure the load of the vehicle
  • Check paperwork to ensure delivery/collection loads are accurate
  • Account for all equipment on the vehicle
  • Visually inspect equipment being loaded and unloaded
  • Work with various companies throughout East Sussex

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Holds a full clean driving licence valid in the UK, with no more than 6 points on the licence
  • Holds a HGV Driving Licence
  • Holds a CPC Licence
  • Holds a HIAB Licence with hook and brick grab
  • Holds a DigiTacho Card
  • Must have experience driving a 26 Tonne vehicle
  • Good personal presentation
  • Able to perform manual handling tasks

Working Hours and Conditions

  • Monday to Friday
  • Hours between 6am and 6pm
  • The position is ongoing for the right candidate
