Oncology Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Band 5 nurse to join our team in the Edward Jenner Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and treatment in a busy day care unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Administering Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT), immunoglobulins, and blood products
- Performing procedures such as venesection and bone marrow biopsy
- Providing SACT outpatient clinic reviews
The ideal candidate will have experience in Haematology/Oncology patient care and treatment, and be working towards a specialist course relevant to Oncology/Haematology. They will also have enhanced clinical skills, including administration of IV drugs, cannulation, and phlebotomy.
Person Specification:- Active registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse
- Evidence of ongoing professional development through maintenance of a professional portfolio, registration revalidation, and commitment to lifelong learning
The successful candidate will be expected to work independently within the unit, with training provided if needed. They will also be required to demonstrate a caring attitude towards patients, their relatives, colleagues, and themselves in a stressful environment.
