Senior Mechanical Engineering Expert

This role requires an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on creating innovative and sustainable solutions for complex water and wastewater projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing outline designs for cutting-edge, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible water recycling plants and other advanced facilities. With an emphasis on innovation, the individual will have the opportunity to evaluate and trial new technologies and products, helping to shape the future of the water industry.
We are looking for an exceptional leader with a strong background in mechanical engineering, who can drive innovation and manage complex engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience in mentoring junior engineers, as well as delivering projects that exceed budget expectations by implementing cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop outline designs for water recycling plants and other advanced facilities.
- Evaluate and trial new technologies and products.
- Drive innovation and manage complex engineering challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and deliver projects that exceed budget expectations.
Requirements:
- MSc/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with the IET or equivalent institution.
- At least 8 years of experience in a relevant industry.
- Full driving licence.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
Location: Remote working with occasional site visits to our head office in Brighton.
