Home Carer Assistant

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Care Assistant to provide support to an individual living with Cerebral Palsy in their own home and the community. The role will be varied, and you will be supporting our client to lead an independent lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gastronomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluid, and medication
- Tracheostomy care to facilitate ventilation
- Providing personal care, including incontinence pad changes and measures to maintain skin integrity
- Moving and Handling (including hoisting)
- Health crisis activity monitoring and administration of rescue medication
- Assisting with domestic duties (Food prep, laundry, cleaning)
- Supporting our client to travel to appointments and participate in social activities including swimming
- Monitoring of general health and well-being, daily record keeping as such
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
Salary: £13.91 per hour (and £20.85 per hour for bank holidays)
