Job Title: Divisional Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team as a Divisional Sales Manager. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and developing our sales strategy for major accounts in the retail and distribution sectors.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of selling into retail and distribution, with a strong analytical approach to reporting sales figures and data. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing excellent trading relationships with existing customers, negotiating yearly trading agreements, and identifying sales opportunities and developing strategies to convert.

You will also be responsible for managing both internal and external sales teams, preparing status reports, and driving and maintaining all activity via CRM. Additionally, you will communicate new product and service opportunities as well as competitor information to our European Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the sales of our products to current and potential customers.
  2. Maintain and develop excellent trading relationships with existing customers.
  3. Negotiate yearly trading agreements.
  4. Assist the sales team in supporting existing distributors and their sales teams.
  5. Manage both internal and external sales teams.
  6. Identify sales opportunities and develop strategies to convert.
  7. Prepare a variety of status reports, including team activity, closings, follow-ups, and adherence to goals entered into management reporting systems.
  8. Drive and maintain all activity via CRM.
  9. Communicate new product and service opportunities as well as competitor information to our European Management Team.
  10. Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales & achieve budgets.
  11. Participate in marketing events including product training, customer trade shows, and company events as required.
Requirements:
  1. Proven track record of selling into retail & distribution.
  2. Ability to demonstrate an analytical approach to reporting sales figures and data.
  3. Sales and training experience.
  4. Good general education with a demonstration of language and numeracy capabilities.
  5. Computer literate (All Windows packages as well as competent CRM usage).
  6. Ability to travel as required.
  7. A full driving license (manual).
  8. A willingness to travel when necessary, staying away from home when required.
