About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cost Drafting and Negotiation Specialist to join our team at Fletchers Group. As a dynamic and rapidly expanding law firm specialising in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury, we are dedicated to delivering justice and fair compensation for our clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage own caseload using case management software
  • Instruct Counsel to attend Detailed Assessment/Oral review or alternatively conduct own hearings
  • Hit agreed recovery targets
  • Undertake accurate valuation
  • Constant communication with fee earners
  • Provide head of team updates on forecasts, recoveries, issue files
  • Hit agreed daily chargeable hours target
  • Keep MI fully up to date and accurate
  • Deal with aged debt where applicable
  • Review points of dispute
  • Assist in bundle preparation
  • Ensure SLA/Pipeline metrics adhered to
  • Follow agreed processes
  • Provide legal teams with costs advice
  • Attend team meetings
  • Provide feedback on recoveries/files/fee earning practices
Requirements
  • Proven experience in dealing with high value Litigation and Negotiation cases
  • Experience of Proclaim
  • Experience of Cost Master
  • Organisational, planning and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good general IT skills
  • Time management
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Working effectively within a team
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
