About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sourcing Assistant to join our Sourcing and Quality Team at Kurt Geiger. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sourcing Team with compliance, quality, costing, sustainability, and general supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Sourcing Team by maintaining accurate records of supplier quality issues and ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
  • Facilitate raw material and sample testing, and communicate results to internal stakeholders.
  • Collate data on leather sourcing and volumes to provide to the Leather Working Group.
  • Develop a strong understanding of compliance and regulations to ensure that all necessary processes and documentation are followed.
  • Access the internal order tracking system to advise the Head of Sourcing on shipment schedules.
  • Follow up with distribution centers to ensure that samples are being sent to HQ and suppliers.
  • Support cost negotiations and work closely with brand partners to ensure prices and margins are achieved.
  • Work proactively with the UK team and Asia Supply Chain team to take action on production schedules and material approvals.
  • Send samples off for testing and follow up on quality-related issues.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to communicate supply chain-related information.
  • Assist and support the team with day-to-day duties.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • A natural ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Inquisitive and keen to learn, with a strong desire to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a collaborative team.
  • Self-starter with a solution-oriented approach, able to manage own workload.
