Job Title: Special Education Needs Teacher

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time SEN Teacher to join our team at New Barn School in Newbury, Berkshire. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities.

The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status and a background in teaching a range of subjects, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level. You will be responsible for creating an environment that is stimulating and purposeful for all pupils to promote teaching and learning outside the formal classroom settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a varied range of subjects to students of all ages.
  • Preparing, planning and assessing teaching sessions while maintaining an awareness of curriculum developments.
  • Writing and implementing individual education plans, making assessments of educational attainment, setting challenging yet achievable targets.
