We play a crucial role in safeguarding our firm's financial stability and reputation by establishing clear policies, procedures, and controls for managing sensitive data.

Your Opportunity:

As a Data Governance Strategist, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing data governance strategies that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the Risk division to identify data risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with relevant policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data governance frameworks and policies for the Risk division.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities related to data management.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to implement data security controls and ensure data integrity.
  • Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on data governance principles and best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with data governance policies and regulations, conducting regular audits and reporting on findings.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and regulatory changes in the data governance landscape.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, computer science, or information management.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in data governance, risk management, or a related field within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in regulatory reporting within the financial services sector.
  • Project management experience.
  • Certifications in data governance or risk management (e.g., CIPP, CRISC).
