We are seeking a highly experienced Residential Project Safety Expert to join our client's team in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on large-scale residential projects and contribute to the development of a robust health and safety strategy. The estimated salary for this role is £60,000.

About the Position:

In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing training and awareness programs to employees and contractors. Your expertise will be invaluable in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Main Duties:
  1. Safety Policy Development:
  • Design, implement, and review site-specific health and safety policies to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
Hazard Management:
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
Training and Capacity Building:
  • Deliver high-quality health and safety training sessions to equip employees and contractors with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties safely.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety records, including incident reports and regulatory compliance documents.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster strong relationships with site managers, contractors, and external bodies to promote a safety culture and ensure effective communication of health and safety issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Certifications:
  • Nebosh certification is essential; IOSH membership is highly desirable.
Industry Knowledge:
  • A minimum of five years' experience in construction health and safety, particularly with large-scale residential projects.
Key Skills:
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and drive a safety culture.
