About the Job:

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of our operations, maintaining legal compliance, and promoting a positive safety culture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills and expertise in health and safety.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  2. Develop and deliver training programs on various safety topics, including inductions, to enhance staff awareness.
  3. Maintain accurate records of outstanding actions and ensure timely completion to drive continuous improvement.
  4. Share best practices and knowledge across all sites to promote consistency and excellence in health and safety.
  5. Provide expert guidance and support on health and safety matters to stakeholders.
  6. Collaborate with supervisors and managers to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Promote and assist in the development of our Integrated Management System (IMS).
  8. Lead audits throughout the sites and report findings to inform improvements.
  9. Produce detailed reports on site safety and health and safety activities.
  10. Support the development and review of site safety documents, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and procedures.
  11. Design and deliver engaging toolbox talks to engage staff.
  12. Investigate accidents and near misses, analyze findings, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a good working knowledge of safety principles and ideally hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate qualification. You should also have excellent communication skills and be able to plan, organize, and deliver projects effectively.

Salary and Benefits:
