Audit Manager Job Opportunity

Public Practice Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join their team in Bristol. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for leading audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries and geographical locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage audits from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Mentor and support new trainees in their learning and development, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Monitor client deadlines and ensure that these are met, maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to drive company growth and development, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Assist with target setting and department budgeting, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy.
  • Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients, promoting the department's expertise and services.
  • Network and promote the department, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the audit team, championing the firm's values and promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Provide professional client-facing communication skills, ensuring excellent customer service and relationships.
  • Set an example for the team as a natural leader, demonstrating strong technical and business skills.

About the Successful Applicant:
  • ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified with extensive experience within practice.
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Supervisory or management level audit experience, including international audit.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with a drive to progress and develop their career.
  • Technically efficient in both audit and accounting, with a strong ability to communicate complex ideas.
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team.
  • Previous supervisory experience, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
