**Job Description:**

Maxim Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Forensic Planning and Delay Expert to join our client's team in London. As a respected leader in the construction claims industry, this company offers a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to further develop their career as a manager, work winner, and progress their delay expert career.

As a Director of Delay Analysis and Forensic Services, you will be responsible for managing a team of delay analysts on complex and concurrent projects. Your expertise in forensic planning and delay analysis will be essential in providing specialist advice to external clients and delivering expert services in line with client briefs and the company business plan.

To succeed in this role, you should have over 15 years of experience within delay, engineering, planning, and related areas. A higher qualification in construction law, such as an MSc in Construction Law, is also expected. You should have built up a profile with both construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and manage a team of delay analysts;
  • Take full responsibility for expert report writing and to manage your team to assist with preparing background information and sections of reports;
  • Provide specialist delay and forensic advice to external clients;
  • Deliver expert delay and forensic planning services in line with client briefs and the company business plan;
  • Network and win work and develop relationships with both construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors;
  • Take a lead in the coaching and training of your delay analysis team and encourage their professional progression;

**Requirements:**

  • Over 15 years of experience within delay, engineering, planning, and related areas;
  • Recently undertaken an Associate Director Delay Analysis role (or equivalent) and managed a team of delay analysts working on a number of concurrent cases;
  • Experience of both writing your own and contributing sections to expert reports written by or with other delay experts;
  • Specific experience of providing specialist delay and forensic advice to external clients;
  • Extensive experience of delivering expert delay and forensic planning services to satisfied clients;
  • Built up a profile with both construction industry solicitors and influential contacts within construction building and civil engineering contractors;
  • A higher qualification in construction law, such as an MSc in Construction Law, is expected;
