Project Manager – Highways

Job Summary:

Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage a variety of Civil Engineering Highways Schemes. The successful candidate will be working across the East Sussex and Kent areas, reporting to the Regional Director and managing site teams consisting of Agents, Sub Agents, Engineers, Foremen, and Sub Contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects in accordance with clients' specifications to ensure client satisfaction
  • Plan resources and resolve shortfalls/over-resourcing issues in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Coordinate and manage interface with other parts of the division
  • Ensure personnel, including subcontractors, work in accordance with company policies, are trained, competent, and aware, and in particular work safely
  • Prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
  • Liaison with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc. to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to clients
  • Deliver project schemes profitably and on time to enhance company reputation and look to further business
  • Assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager

Requirements:

  • Recent HIGHWAYS experience (2-3 years min)
  • Degree qualified and ability to manage a project team
  • Extensive experience of operating at PM level on civil engineering schemes
  • Previous experience of Highways/Roads and Design Reactive and planned Maintenance
