Project Manager – Highways

Salary: £55,000-£65,000
Location: Sussex/Kent
Regions: Kent, Sussex

Pinnacle Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a variety of Civil Engineering Highways Schemes across the East Sussex and Kent areas. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Director and manage site teams consisting of Agents, Sub Agents, Engineers, Foremen, and Sub Contractors.

  • Must have extensive experience of operating at PM level on civil engineering schemes
  • Previous experience of Highways/Roads and Design Reactive and planned Maintenance
  • Degree qualified and have the ability to manage a project team

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver projects profitably and on time, ensuring client satisfaction and enhancing company reputation
  • Plan resources and ensure any shortfalls/over-resourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division
  • Ensure all personnel within your control, including subcontractors, work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent, and aware, and in particular work safely
  • Liaison with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc. to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients
  • To assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager

Please note that recent HIGHWAYS experience (2-3 years min) is required for this role.
