Job Description

We are currently searching for an experienced Principal Programmer to join our Game Technology team in Guildford, UK.

This is a 12-month contract position, offering a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum. As a Principal Programmer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality code, collaborating with designers and other teams, and championing best practice within the team.

We are looking for an experienced developer with a proven track record of implementing and debugging complex code, excellent C and C++ skills, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Devise and deliver technology across key priorities within Game Technology
  2. Collaborate with designers to identify pragmatic solutions to creative challenges
  3. Champion best practice and support other team members to help maximise everyone's potential

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience implementing and debugging multithreaded real-time code at a Principal level or above
  2. Excellent C and C++ skills
  3. Strong appetite to collaborate with other disciplines to explore solutions
  4. Flexibility to adapt to new challenges as priorities shift throughout development
  5. Good written and verbal communication skills
