About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Health, Safety and Risk Management to join our team at Wellcome Genome Campus Ltd.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement across our organisation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this key enabling role will provide exemplary health and safety leadership and develop and deliver the health, safety, and risk management strategy to ensure that our health, safety and business continuity risks are mitigated and managed proactively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive health, safety, and risk management strategy
  • Provide leadership and guidance on health, safety, and risk management to all levels of the organisation
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address health, safety, and risk management issues
  • Develop and maintain health, safety, and risk management policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience in health, safety, and risk management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective health, safety, and risk management strategies
  • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and risk management legislation and regulations
