Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Estimator to join our team in Luton. As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing detailed reports on vehicle damage for insurance companies.

About the Role

This is a remote role, working from home, with occasional attendance at our Head Office or Operation Centre. You will be required to conduct market research to identify the market value of vehicles, considering factors such as mileage, previous damage, and HPI data.

Main Responsibilities
  • To prepare detailed engineer's reports on behalf of insurance companies
  • To check all documents containing information on physical damage, vehicle information, and vehicle images
  • To make necessary amendments to reports as required
  • To conduct market research to identify the market value of vehicles
  • To assign salvage categories using the ABI Code of Practice and company guidelines
Requirements
  • Previous experience in body shop estimating or a related field
  • Familiarity with insurance claims procedures and information requirements relating to claim types
  • The ability to interpret degrees of vehicle damage and possible consequences
  • A good understanding of estimating and valuation tools, including Glass', CAP, Audatex, and HPI
  • Knowledge of VDA and basic legal vehicle road worthiness requirements under the Road Traffic Act
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
