Motor Fleet Underwriter Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Motor Fleet Underwriter to join our team at Aviva. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in underwriting commercial motor fleet insurance to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite profitable business while operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels.
  • Develop, build, and strengthen relationships with aligned customers and brokers, providing technical support and assistance.
  • Use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer.
  • Work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate on more technical and complex risks.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of insurance product features and processes.
  • Knowledge of underwriting – Commercial Motor Fleet.
  • Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation.
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation.
