Salary Package

We offer a comprehensive salary package, including an estimated £28,000-£33,000 per annum, based on your experience and qualifications.

Job Summary

In this role, you will contribute to the development of a novel phage therapy for treating Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections associated with cystic fibrosis. You will work closely with the University of Leicester Centre for Phage to advance our understanding of phage biology and develop effective treatment strategies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Phenotypically characterise phages in terms of pH tolerance, host range, stability at different temperatures, and virulence.
  • Genomically characterise phages in terms of gene content and genomic structure.
  • Utilise genomic and phenotypic data to identify features making phages suitable for therapy.
  • Collaborate with NISBC to develop bacteriophage sequencing standards.
