Product Development Manager

At Riverside Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our client's team in Cheddar, Somerset. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head of Product Management with new product development, from idea generation to product market entry. This will involve overseeing product and business performance, conducting market research, and collaborating with the senior sales team to deliver category development and increased market share.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct market research, including commissioning third-party research and visiting project sites and showrooms
• Manage sales-led product requests for Retail, Export, or Specification projects
• Develop and launch new products, collaborating with China and EU-based suppliers
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for new product development

Requirements:
• Relevant qualification in project or product management
• High degree of commercial awareness and ability to analyze data
• Strong spreadsheet skills and commercial acumen
• Prior experience of China-based manufacturing/sourcing, especially in the field of brassware and bathroom-related products
