Sales and Profit

As a key member of the Retail Human Resources plc team, you will assist the Store Manager/Assistant Manager in driving business profitability by optimizing sales opportunities while working within planned costs.

  1. Collaborate with the Store Manager/Assistant Manager to achieve sales budget and implement corrective actions to improve sales as needed.
  2. Identify and propose opportunities for further sales development, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  3. Support the Store Manager/Assistant Manager in maintaining staff awareness of sales targets and motivating them to maximize sales opportunities.
  4. Maintain Visual Merchandising standards and retail standards to maximize sales potential of each range.
  5. Assist the Store Manager/Assistant Manager in ensuring sales floor layout reflects company guidelines and promotes customer flow around the store.
  6. Maintain awareness of costs in line with sales, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Customer Service

Deliver exceptional customer service by personally demonstrating good customer awareness and interaction at all times.

  1. Monitor and continuously improve the level of customer service provided to customers.
  2. Assist the Store Manager/Assistant Manager in ensuring product knowledge of staff and yourself is developed and maintained to maximize service standards.
  3. Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained on the sales floor, with deliveries handled promptly and regular replenishment carried out.
Staff Management

Support the Store Manager/Assistant Manager in the induction of new staff, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.

  1. Assist in the training and development of staff in line with company guidelines, promoting team building and individual growth.
  2. Collaborate with the Store Manager/Assistant Manager to set and implement clear work objectives, effectively deploying the team to benefit the branch.
  3. Take action to improve and develop your own job performance, seeking feedback from line manager, colleagues, and team.
Administration

Assist the Store Manager/Assistant Manager in ensuring all branch administration is completed to company procedure.

Health and Safety

Support the Store Manager in adhering to company Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working/shopping environment.

Security

Ensure security awareness in all areas of the store, with all cash and cash equivalents kept secure and banked in line with Head Office instructions.

Confidentiality

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, including personnel data, unless authorized by your line manager.
